Top Twitter Users To Follow

In my 90 or so days on Twitter I have met a TON of really awesome people and If I start mentioning them and leave somebody out I’m in trouble.

So I am going to mention the person that actually Introduced me to Twitter .. Willie Crawford.

Willie Crawford is One of the Top Internet Marketers on the planet. And he’s also a really nice guy. He tweets about such topics as finding a profitable niche, generating website traffic, building a responsive email list, creating your own products, selling more affiliates products, branding yourself, networking, setting up joint ventures, and how to simply run a successful business.

To be very honest I just didn’t “get” Twitter at first but when Willie told me he was on there I decided to check it out. I’m so glad I did!

There’s three people I enjoy reading tweets from because they fit your criteria; but more than that, they post things that are both for general discussion and in tune with their specialist fields:

@LindaOJ – motivational / inspiring tweets, happy to chat.
@spode – posts interesting articles, answers tweets, somehow tweets perfectly even after one too many drinks.
@darenBBC – undertakes interesting projects, asks for opinions and listens.

Lynn Terry gets my vote. She is a “real” person who walks the walk.

There are so many great Tweeters – it’s hard to choose!

My suggest is @LizzHarmon

She is always the first to share interesting Twitter or Social Networking articles. She helps newbies. She responds quickly. Best of all, she got me hooked on Twitter. Everyone should follow @LizzHarmon

Well, since I can’t recommend myself I’m gonna recommend Arianne, @ToThink She’s genuine, extremely motivational and verra, verra intelligent! Gosh, that was sappy! ewwww

@floridafuture.. this chicka makes a big impression, and has been a great friend to me! =)

As I follow 2000 people and have diverse interests it would be difficult to list all the people I find interesting who would be of interest to most others but one with universal appeal is @NixTheNews who does TwitterBreak. Another is @dale_carnegie, author of, amongst other things, ‘How To Win Friends and Influence People’, who has inspired more success than most other living beings.

Presumably one is permitted to return and add more tweeple once having had time to think longer about who else would have majority appeal… I hope so, anyway!

@themia – love her. she’s hilarious, random, and awesome. also into pop culture. has a kick ass blog and she’s amazing.

@serenasheik – super awesome. goes to a lot of shows, is totally awesome all-around girl who should be loved.

@hommemaid – another friend on another website. super crafty, super awesome. worthy of a follow. no joke.

@cory_grimes – one of my good friends that i know from another website that’s on twitter. she’s a gamer with attitude. and she’s a sweetheart.

@johnemersons – my favorite boy tweeter. love him to pieces. agrees with me a lot about zombie movies, random people on okcupid and random life observations

@markdavidson – yes, he knows how to use twitter. and i can’t ignore him with my list. he helps those make the best out of twitter. me included.

@patiomancer – another favorite. is totally random. love the randoms. plus he’s hot. no joke.

@syktek – a new follower of mine, but i adore him to pieces alreaddy. call it lust at first tweet.

and of course, me. (@hellobethanne), i fit in with the criteria listed above (i always follow back, will update more than once a week – er, more than once a day, and is super nice and responds to people) and though i may be blunt, i’m also arty and random. and i use my twitter as a “stream of consciousness” to get my inner feelings out into the open in short bursts.

there are so many more awesome people, i can’t name them all, but anyone i’m following (who’s following me) is awesome in their own right.

I’m cutting back on whom I’m following at this time….. I really only want to follow people I truly see some sort of connection with, now or in the future. I want to get to know people I’m following, and read their blogs, subscribe to their lists, and really learn from them. So I’m trying to cut back—- I want to be able to enjoy twitter and not feel totally overwhelmed. anyhoo….

Why would you require an automatic follow back? Why should we follow accounts that are obvious spam or have nothing relevant to our personal or business life JUST because they follow us?

Below are what I consider to be the top three tweeters which wasn’t and easy task considering all the cool twitter people I officially follow and silently stalk.

Even after several years he still manages to instigate my laughter on a regular basis. Probably the best bloke I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing online.

https://twitter.com/unclebear – This ain’t your average Yogi Bear. My third was a tough call but Uncle Bear has got a pretty wicked sense of humor which will catch any unsuspecting picnic basket off guard, and you too if you’re not careful.
